Swedish producer Nightlight Kid has just shared his brand new single Blue, an upbeat pop/edm track.
What I like the most about this song is the lovely, expressive vocals which ooze so much soul and emotion, beautifully connecting us to his relatable storytelling. Blue is a personal song for Nighlight Kid as he sings about going through an on and off relationship and how it truly affected him. It's a song about how the effects of a toxic relationship can follow us after it is over.
A very relatable song, Blue is wrapped around a contrasting upbeat electro-pop/edm production that features warm rhythms, lush piano chords and a memorable driving beat that create an overall warm, feel-good atmosphere. I am very fond of the bridge and how it enhances the emotion pouring from his vocals! This song is, like I want all my songs to be, a very personal story about something I've gone through myself. It's a story of how an on and off relationship can affect a person who is more involved than the other person and how the aftermath of that somewhat toxic relationship sometimes linger more than the emotions themselves.
