German-made UK-based newcomer Micayl make their official musical introduction with the release of their debut single Half Hearted Lover, a captivating alternative R&B track out now via POYESIS. 

 

What I love the most about this song is Micayl's smooth, soulful vocals and how dynamic their vocal delivery is, instantly conveying the emotion of their relatable storytelling. Half Hearted Lover is a candid expression of self-doubt and the pain of not being able to love someone the way they deserve to be loved. Honest and vulnerable, the song explores the apprehension inherent in all our romantic relationships and the fear we have that our relationships might end. This relatable song is flawlessly conveyed through Micayl's lush vocals which are backed by a chilled out alt-r&b production packed with intricate guitar plucks seamlessly intertwined with steady drum beats that create an overall melancholia-infused, laid-back atmosphere that finds Micayl following their heart by baring their soul.
