Liv Hanna Shares New Single ‘Rebound’

New York-based singer and songwriter Liv Hanna has just shared her brand new single Rebound, a smooth and sensual piece of electro R&B music.

I am really enjoying the tone of her sultry voice which is packed with soul and confidence, gliding beautifully over the warm, chilled out production. Rebound is a song about letting know that your ex's new fling is simply a rebound and that they should be careful getting into a relationship with someone that is only looking for a rebound. This relatable message is wrapped around a captivating blend of pop, electronic and r&b elements with a memorable trap-infused beat that create an overall warm and sensual atmosphere.

Speaking about the song, Liv Hanna said,
Rebound'” tells the story of a young guy breaking up with his girlfriend as she attempts in vain to warn his rebound fixation of what is coming her way. Lyrically speaking, “Rebound” is truthful but sarcastic, and the salty tone highlights her frustration with her ex-boyfriend and his selfish actions. The ex- girlfriend (me) informs his new conquest that she is merely a ‘rebound love’ from her past relationship, and that she should be careful jumping in so fast with someone only looking to put another notch on their belt.
Accompanying the release, Liv Hanna has shared its official music video, directed by Evan Aspinwall, which beautifully embodies the song's message and atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the video, Liv Hanna said,
I shot the video in Miami because I believe Miami most accurately represents my generations heated and non-stop party scene. I feel like having or being in a rebound love is very common especially in college, and my song highlights the experience from both ends of the relationship spectrum. 'Rebound' illustrates the take no prisoners attitude of boys gone wild and reveals the rebound girl's naivety to the overall situation, and what she is getting into, as the rebound cycle goes around and around. The message of 'Rebound' is one of warning, awareness, and the overall frequency of being a ‘rebound,’ and informs the audience against taking that path to find love.
