JoJo Worthington Shares New Single ‘The Divide’

Montreal-based artist JoJo Worthington has just shared her brand new single The Divide, a smooth, dreamy piece of indie-pop music.

I am loving the tone of JoJo Worthington's voice and how they instantly infuse the song with a vulnerable and emotional touch that won me over from the start. A song about how big the gap between opposite opinions is, The Divide is beautifully wrapped around intricate acoustic guitar riffs that are nicely intertwined with steady drums that create a warm and soothing atmosphere for JoJo's vocals and storytelling to soar. I am also very fond of the burst of energy towards the end with the electric guitar and punchier drum patterns that give a rich and dynamic touch to the song. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, JoJo Worthington said,
The space between opposite opinions can seem so huge. I think we’ve really thrown it out of proportion. We should still be able to converse, respect and ultimately agree to disagree when it comes to most topics. It just felt like the news and social media just wanted to continue driving this huge divide between political identities.
You know in movies when there’s an earthquake and the earth splits open and it separates the protagonist and the love interest and then sometimes you see people fall in the gap? It’s kinda about the people in the gap and trying to find a home there.
