House On Fire Share New Single ‘Neighbourhood’
Following the sucess of their debut single Geronimo, which arrived earlier this year, Liverpool-based three-piece band House On Fire, consisting of Tom Murray (vocals/programming), Josh Gorman (drums) and Jan Frost (guitar), are back with their sophomore single Neighbourhood.
Out now via Sound On, TikTok's brand new distribution platform, Neighbourhood is the title track of the band's forthcoming debut EP and it beautifully showcases their feel-good sonority. Frontman Tom Murray's charismatic and passionate vocals instantly draw the listener's attention to their relatable storytelling of breaking free and reclaiming control of your life. This message is wrapped around a stomping, hook-heavy pop-trip production that features lush brass elements nicely intertwined with cool guitar riffs and catchy drum pattenrs that create an overall feel-good atmosphere perfect for a fun weekend. Check it out below!
On the song, Tom says,
Neighbourhood is a song about reclaiming control of the lives we lost in the years leading up to writing Neighbourhood, expressing this feeling in a light hearted way. So we recount a shared childhood memory of pretend pitch battles we used to have on the streets of Liverpool and Berlin growing up, hence 'taking back my neighbourhood' being taking back control of our lives.
