Altameda Share New Single ‘Sweet Susie’

Canadian duo Altameda (æl-tah-MI-da) have just shared their brand new single Sweet Susie, the latest single to be taken from their stunning new album, Born Losers, out now via Modern Sky Entertainment. 

 

Recorded with acclaimed producer Thomas D’Arcy (Neko Case, The Sheepdogs) and mixed by studio wiz Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket, Whitney, REM), Born Losers is a meditation on change, loss, and growth – but more than that, it’s a reckoning with mortality, a call to live while we’re still alive. 

 

Its soulful focus track, Sweet Susie, is a chilled out piece of music that wrestles with powers that lay beyond our control before eventually finding peace in making the most of what little we actually can dictate. This relatable message is wrapped around a memorable production that pairs intricate guitar riffs with delicate piano keys, steady drum patterns and lush horns that create a slow burning groove and overall warm and intimate atmosphere that makes the song perfect for a laid-back, sunny day at home.
