May Payne Shares Debut Single ‘When You Hold Me’

British singer, songwriter and pianist May Payne has just shared her official debut single When You Hold Me, a soulful piece of pop music about being in an unbalanced relationship. 

 

There's somewhat of a timeless vibe in this song that I really like and May Payne's lovely, distinctive vocals are quite dreamy and beautifully infuse the song with a memorable dose of emotion. When You Hold Me is a song about being in a relationship where one part is more invested and craves to have that same affection and attention they give to the other person. Being in an unbalanced relationship can be very taxing to one's heart and I love the way May Payne effortlessly captures the feelings and emotions one goes through in that situation. Apart from her lovely vocals I am very fond of the lush, emotive piano chords which are seamlessly intertwined with smooth percussion and lush guitar plucks that create quite a warm and intimate atmosphere perfect for a chill day at home.
