Danish artist Maddy has just shared her brand new single Dum Dum Dum, an upbeat tune written and recorded with noise-rock modern legend, Sune Wagner of The Raveonettes.
Out worldwide via Capitol Records, Dum Dum Dum beautifully showcases Maddy's warm, sultry vocals which are packed with so much confidence and touches of sensuality that instantly make the song a memorable listening experience. I am loving the raw bassline which is paired with a stomping beat and lively percussion, beautifully setting the tone for a groovy, feel-good atmosphere. The hook is incredibly catchy and perfect to sing along to and the whole atmosphere of the song oozes chill, carefree days. The highlights of the song for me are Maddy's gorgeous vocals and that killer, repeating bassline that will get stuck to your head for hours to come (in a good way). The hook of ‘Dum Dum Dum’ is basically just sounds but it’s also a melody that describes an escape from reality. I needed a song about what life is like when insignificant little things and thoughts feel excessively overmuch. ‘Dum Dum Dum’ is for when your body and mind call for a break and a song for everyone to not always try and strive for perfection but just let go and enjoy the ride.
