Up-and-coming Dublin based artist it's just Cat has just shared her brand new single Not A Vibe, a bold, bright electro-pop cut bursting with confidence.
I am really enjoying the tone of it's just Cat's vocals and how confident and commanding her vocal delivery is, beautifully capturing our attention from start to finish. Not A Vibe is a song about cutting out people who bring bad vibes to our lives, allowing us to soak in positive energy and be happy. Apart from her vocals I am very fond of the lush guitar plucks which are nicely paired with catchy electronic elements and groovy percussive elements that create an overall feel-good atmosphere.
Accompanying the single, it's just Cat has shared its official music video which was shot in Clontarf, Dublin. Filmed and directed by Louis Maxwell at Grace Park Productions with an all-star queer cast featuring it's just Cat and some of the darling Drag Queens of Dublin Shaqira Knightly, Annie Queeries & Donna Fella. Speaking about the song, it's just Cat said,
“Not a vibe” is a reflection of my personal experience of the music industry. It’s a clap-back at people who have attempted to copy me while telling me I’m not good enough. The chorus celebrates the freedom I feel by cutting out people who bring bad vibes and the positive energy of the track represents my everlasting confidence that I’m happier than ever when I’m doing music. A feeling that is all my own and completely untouchable.
