Arya Zappa Shares New Single ‘Kiss Me Awake’

Berlin-based artist Arya Zappa has just shared her brand new single Kiss Me Awake, a hypnotic piece of indie-pop music. 

 

I am really enjoying Arya Zappa's distinctive tone and how effortless her vocal delivery sounds, beautifully capturing our attention to her storytelling. Kiss Me Awake is a soaring indie-pop song that pays homage to Suspiria director Dario Argento and his most frequent musical collaborators, Goblin. Theres's somewhat of a hypnotic and cinematic atmosphere in this song that keeps me coming back to it, with the chorus making it stand out even more. Apart from Arya's gorgeous, commanding vocals, I am very fond of the intricate guitar riffs that are nicely intertwined with lush synths and cool rhythms that create an overall warm, chilled out atmosphere.
