Victorian Death Photos Share New Single ‘The Crown’

Texas-based mysterious duo Victorian Death Photos have just shared their brand new single The Crown, a captivating piece of electronic music about taking one's power back.

I am really enjoying the smooth vocals which instantly infuse the song with a dreamy touch that enhances the mysterious atmosphere of the song. Apart from the lovely, expressive vocals, I am particularly fond of the polished electronic production that beautifully pairs lush synths with warm rhythms and punchy percussive elements that together create an overall hazy and expansive atmosphere.

Speaking about the song, Victorian Death Photos said,
"The Crown" is our love letter (hence the choice to release on Valentine's Day) to the marginalized who have taken their power back. Often unsung heroes in society, and at times they even unknowingly inspire others to love themselves for who they are. The message is that we can, as humans, as a collective, create a place where everyone can safely be unapologetically who they are and allow any input to the contrary devolve into meaninglessness symbolized by the way the outro of the "The Crown" also devolves.
Accompanying the release, Victorian Death Photos have shared its striking music video which beautifully embodies the song's message and atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the video, the duo said,

We follow the story of a person transitioning and the inner and societal struggles they encounter along the way. In the end, they find an inner strength that has been fighting for them, and are validated by the love of a friend.
