17-year-old British singer and songwriter Tom A. Smith has just shared his gorgeous new single Boltcutters, taken from his debut EP, EP 1, which is out now via TYM Recordings.
I am loving the grit and passion pouring from his rich vocals which instantly draw the listener's attention to his storytelling. Boltcutters is a relatable song about not wanting to fall in love with someone that is trying to do all they can for it to happen. I think most of us have been in a similar situation where we are afraid to lower our guard and open our hearts to someone that is willing to fight for us, but deep down we would love for that person to enter our hearts. This message is wrapped around a stripped-back production with a killer guitar-based melody backing his heartfelt vocal delivery which is packed with raw, honest emotion.
