Dutch singer and songwriter Sylvia Aimee has just shared her brand new single Dim Your Light, a self-reflective, captivating country-pop ballad. 

 

I am really enjoying Sylvia Aimee's expressive, emotive vocals which instantly captured my attention to her relatable storytelling. Dim Your Light is a country pop ballad about looking back at your younger self and watching yourself build walls around your heart as you grow older. Time can heal, but it can also leave you scarred. This is a bittersweet ode to one's inner child and is wrapped around a memorable country/pop production packed with intricate acoustic and electric guitar riffs nicely paired with subtle piano chords and steady drum patterns that create an overall warm, introspective atmosphere.
