Soran Shares New Single ‘Way Up’

Montreal-based singer and songwriter Soran has just shared his brand new single Way Up, an honest and confessional piece of indie-r&b/lo-fi music out now via Universal Music Canada.

I am a fan of Soran's silky smooth vocals and how they instantly infuse the song with a vulnerable and emotional touch that I find very captivating. Fuelled by emotion and tinged with sadness, Way Up stands as a courageous and moving beacon of hope, encouraging the listeners to keep going like he is doing following the loss of his mother. Soran's evocative vocal delivery and raw storytelling is quite impressive and allows for the listeners to connect in a much deeper level with his music. This honest and relatable piece of music is wrapped around a warm lo-fi/indie-r&b production with lovely acoustic guitar plucks nicely intertwined with beautiful harmonies and steady percussion that create an overall intimate atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Soran said,
‘Way Up’ is written by a future me talking to a present me about how I got over the pain of losing a loved one.
