Ren Lawton Shares New Single ‘The Writer’

Ren Lawton, the moniker of British singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Conor Owen, has just shared his brand new single The Writer, the latest single to be taken from his debut album, Today Today Tomorrow, out now. 

 

I am really enjoying the song's warmth and how smooth and soothing his vocal delivery is. The Writer's reflective lyrics are nicely conveyed through Ren's gorgeous vocals which glide effortlessly over an intricate acoustic guitar-based melody that beautifully creates an overall warm and intimate atmosphere. I am also enjoying how the song slowly builds up in pace and energy with the lovely guitars being nicely paired with lush piano notes, cool electric guitar plucks, wistful harmonica and a comforting steady beat.
