Nova May Shares New Single ‘Hate You’

British singer and songwriter Nova May has just shared her brand new single Hate You, a captivating piece of electro-pop music via GRS MUSIC / Global Rockstar GmbH.

Hate You shows a more emotive and personal side to the singer as she sings about a former toxic ex-friend trying to befriend her now, and in return she would simply dismiss them. We all have people that either bullied us or didn't believe in our dreams, and when we succeed we tend to look back at how we would react if they would approach us when successful (I'm still working on that part). Hate You finds Nova May beautifully showcasing her gorgeous vocals which glide effortlessly over the infectious electro-pop production which is packed with cool guitar riffs nicely intertwined with a catchy beat and warm rhythms that create an overall feel-good atmosphere. Speaking about the song, Nova May said,
My second solo single “Hate You” is an emotive bite back at the girls in my school who never believed in me. I wrote this song just after seeing a toxic ex-friend pop up on my social media for the first time in a while. When I saw this I wondered how they would treat me now that i’m more confident and doing well. Daydreaming, I imagined a scenario where one girl in particular would try to befriend me again and in return I would just dismiss them.
