Out now via Nettwerk Records, Be Good Be Kind was written shortly after the passing of television & radio presenter Caroline Flack, with Mega being deeply affected by the news, with the sensitive topics hitting close to home for her. This song encourages people with mental health issues to reach out for help and also spreads a message of love and kindness to the world. This lovely message is beautifully wrapped around a captivating Contemporary R&B production on which Mega's rich, expressive vocals soar effortlessly over. I am particularly fond of the intricate guitar riffs nicely paired with lush strings and a catchy beat that create quite a warm and intimate atmosphere perfect for MEga's dynamic vocal delivery and storytelling, packed with raw emotion, to soar. In a world where you can be anything, be kind”. A friend sent me this Instagram post when Caroline Flack posted it. I think this was one of her last Instagram posts. I didn’t know Caroline Flack personally but I’ve always believed that everyone we meet is fighting a battle that we know nothing about, so it’s important to be kind, always. I hope the song can encourage anyone that is struggling with their mental health to reach out for help, and I hope it will be a gentle reminder to them that they are not alone. I also hope that it can build a community of support, love, and kindness. ‘When we are kind to ourselves, we are inherently kind to others’ - I read this once and I believe it to be true.
