Canadian singer and songwriter Ian Lake has just shared his brand new single Easier, the latest single to be taken from his upcoming debut album What It Is. 

 

I am loving Ian Lake's gorgeous, soulful vocals and how they instantly capture our attention to his relatable storytelling. Ian's powerful, textured vocals sing about cultivating a sense of compassion and forgiveness for yourself. It is a message of encouragement and hope to anybody who is struggling through difficult times. Ian's vocals are definitely the star of this song and I keep playing it over and overa again. This message is wrapped around a stunning production packed with gorgeous guitar riffs nicely intertwined with a killer bass, lovely backing vocals, steady percussion and mellotron synth that together create somewhat of a retro-infused, laid-back atmosphere.
