Frya Shares New Single ‘Changes’
Zimbabwean singer and songwriter Frya has just shared her brand new single Changes, a lovely piano-based piece of Contemporary R&B music out now via Exodus Entertainment.
I am really enjoying Frya's stunning vocals and how dynamic her vocal delivery is, soaring effortlessly over the warm production. Produced by Mr Kamera, Changes is a song about the deep changes that are inevitable when it comes to love and loss. Those heart-wrenching lyrics are beautifully conveyed through Frya's powerful vocals which instantly make us feel each and every single word she is singing. The whole production has somewhat of an epic touch with breathtaking piano chords and epic synths that crescendos as the song develops. Definitely an enthralling listening experience packed with so much heart and emotion that makes it impossible not to love. Check it out below!
Speaking about the song, Frya said,
Changes is a song that’s very dear to my heart because it was inspired by my mother, Juliet. I wanted a song that expressed my pain…honestly, but also expressed a realisation that loss of any kind is simply love persevering. When the album pre-order went live in September, I received so many messages on Instagram from people in different parts of the world. I connected with people who had experienced loss during the pandemic and even before that. It’s humbling to know that I’m helping other people feel and release emotion the same way the song helped me. It also made me realise how powerful my intention was when i wrote the song.
