Eva Ullmann Shares New Single ‘Renaissance’
American singer and songwriter Eva Ullmann has just shared her brand new single Renaissance, the title track off of her upcoming EP.
What I like the most about this song is Eva Ullmann's powerful, soulful vocals which are packed with so much heart and passion, instantly capturing the listener's attention to her storytelling. Renaissance describes the changes Eva has gone through recently and how much stronger she came out of all those life-changing experiences. It's a song that encourages self-love and is wrapped around a warm Contemporary R&B/Pop production with catchy rhythms creating the perfect atmosphere for her powerful vocals to soar. Speaking about the song, Eva said,
What I think is special about ‘Renaissance’ is that it takes two years of the most intense time of my life — full of the highest highs and the lowest lows — and acts as an introduction into the story of that time. I think it’s really honest, I think it’s a little self-deprecating — because I’m not afraid to say I was caught up in what people thought of me — but I do think it is one of the coolest songs I’ve ever written. It feels like a warm hug. It tells me everything is going to be okay, that things are good. It’s also a slight flex, because it’s telling everyone how far I’ve come. I’m not the same girl I was two years ago when I released Youth. This song feels like a very happy, supportive, sunshine-y embrace that makes me really proud of myself. I’m just unapologetically me for the first time.
