Calabasas Share New Single ‘The Mend’
Los Angeles-based alt/pop duo Calabasas have just shared their brand new single The Mend, a super smooth, melancholy-infused piece of music out now via Buvision/ The Porter Music Company.
The Mend finds Calabasas showcasing a more personal and vulnerable side of their music, sharing with their fans that we're all human and that we all make mistakes. I am very fond of the effortless vocal delivery which flows naturally over the warm alt-pop production. I am particularly fond of the intricate guitar riffs and how they are paired with catchy rhythms and infectious drum patterns that create an overall warm, chill atmosphere. Speaking about the song, Calabasas said,
We wanted to take a deeper dive into our personal lives on this song. I wrote this at a tough time in my relationship for the woman I love. It’s a chance to get vulnerable with our fans and let them know that we are all humans and we make mistakes.
