The Night Owls Share Debut Single ‘The Night Owls’

Canadian indie/folk/rock/country duo The Night Owls, consisting of Simon Arsenault and Marianne Bourgeois, make their official music introduction with the release of their eponymous debut single. 

 

Taken from their upcoming genre-bending debut EP, The Night Owls, which will arrive this Spring, this song is a mysterious, slow-burning folk track, centered around the pair’s vocals and harmonies. What I like the most about this song is indeed their lovely harmonies which are quite soothing and effortlessly enhance the emotion of their storytelling. The Night Owls is a song about the feeling of being alone with one another, taking walks outside and feeling as though they're the only ones in the city awake. This message is wrapped around a lovely folk production packed with intricate guitar melodies nicely paired with steady drum patterns that create an overall warm and intimate atmosphere.
