talker Shares New Single ‘Don’t Want You To Love Me’

talker, the project of Los Angeles based Grunge/indie-rock artist Celeste Tauchar, has just shared her brand new single Don't Want You To Love Me, a memorable indie-rock cut about the confusing emotions you have when getting involved with someone from your past.

Out now via Wehearnoise Records, Don't Want You To Love Me is yet another great example of talker's gorgeous sonority and how talented she is as a singer and songwriter. I am a fan of talker's passionate, expressive vocals and how they instantly connect the listeners to her storytelling. You can hear a mix of confidence and vulnerability pouring from her vocals which are flawlessly backed by a memorable indie-rock production packed with soaring guitars and killer percussion that remind me of 90's grunge-infused, indie-rock music.

Don't Want You To Love Me finds talker weighing in the pros and cons of getting back with someone from your past, to forgo reason and trust your emotions. The chorus is absolutely addictive, being perfect to sing along to and giving the song an anthemic touch that I think you will enjoy! Accompanying the release, talker has shared a gorgeous music video, directed by Chanel Samson, which beautifully embodies the song's message and atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, talker said,
When your past shows up to haunt you, you have to decide if you’re going to open the door. And when someone comes back, you have to weigh the options and use your best judgment to see if you’re willing to put yourself through the ringer again for them. In my experience, it’s easy to say you don’t want someone to love you. It’s easy to just block anything that knocks you off your course. It's a lot of he loves me/he loves me not/will they/won't they - but sometimes you have to silence your rational thoughts and trust your emotions. This song is me doing exactly that.
