Say So City Share New Single ‘Better Than That’
Danish band Say So City kick off their new year with the release of a sultry electro-pop song titled Betther Than That.
Out now via CloudKid, Better Than That is a song that oozes so much confidence and energy with Line's soft voice being the star of the song for me. Better Than That is a relatable song about the conflicting feelings we have of not being good enough for someone which contrast with powerful feelings of confidence. I can perfectly relate to this song and I love how it is wrapped around a confident, high-energy production that creates somewhat of an anthemic and empowering atmosphere. I am particularly fond of the catchy beat and distinct guitar riffs that enhance the song's edginess, confident and feel good atmosphere. Check it out below!

Imagine walking into a bar somewhere, choosing whoever you want to talk to, having the time of your life, and knowing there’s that possibility of being able to do it all over again the next time? How awesome, right?… This song is and isn’t about that because the phrase of being “better than that” is actually showcasing a feeling of insecurity, as a means to hide, instead of the person understanding that they aren’t necessarily better than anyone else. It’s about those conflicting feelings of think that you aren’t good enough for anyone, those insecurities and being too picky, but also those feelings of confidence, where you can’t help but say, well, I’m ‘better than that,” better than you, better than this.
