Pep Squad Share New Single ‘Little Game’

Los Angeles based group Pep Squad, consisting of powerhouse rock star vocalist Kat Leon, producer/drummer Dan Whittemore and platinum songwriter Curtis Peoples, have just shared their brand new single Little Game, an upbeat alt/electro-pop cut.

I am really enjoying the confident, attitude-packed vocal delivery of Kat Leon which instantly sets the tone for the rest of the song. Kat Leon's vocals glide beautifully over a seamless blend of punk, hip-hop and electronic elements that create quite a memorable sonority. The song's infectious beat paired with lush synths and cool drums are very uplifting and energetic, instantly making me want to dance while singing along to it. Accompanying the release, Pep Squad have shared its official music video, directed by Fre Pacheco, that beautifully embodies the song's atmosphere and energy. Check it out below!

Speaking about the video, Pep Squad said,
With the ‘Little Game’ music video, we wanted to lean into a similar vibe that we were inspired by when we wrote the song. We looked to Missy Elliot, late 90's and early 2000's hip hop videos, and mixed in our riot girl, punk rock energy. We worked with the director Fre Angel to create something that was sinister, playful, and over the top. The whole shoot was a blast to film, everyone went for it and that feeling of cartoonish uninhibited fun really shines through on the screen. Cheerleaders, clowns, demented 50's family, big gold chains, it was a no rules good time.
