N. Kerbin Shares New Single ‘Sleepwalking’

N. Kerbin, the project of Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter Nathaniel Wesley Fenton House Kerbin, has just shared his brand new single Sleepwalking, a smooth indie-pop cut out now via Random Harvest Records.

I am really enjoying his silky smooth vocals and how expressive his vocal delivery is, beautifully conveying the emotion of his storytelling. Sleepwalking is a relatable song about realising how short life truly is, and encourages the lsitener's to live in the moment and stop sleepwalking through life. Unfortunately I have spent many years "sleepwalking" through life and now I am trying to make up for lost time. This relatable message is beautifully wrapped around a memorable indie-pop production with intricate guitar riffs nicely paired with steady drums that create an overall warm atmosphere perfect for an introspective day home alone. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, N. Kerbin said,
I wrote "Sleepwalking" during the summer of 2021 while visiting my family for the first time in two years. Seeing how much my nieces and nephews had grown – and how much older my parents seemed – hit me with one of those "life is short" feelings. It's a little cliche to talk about living in the moment and not taking the little things for granted, but there’s a lot of truth in the cliche. With that in mind, my goal for 2022 is to stop sleepwalking through life. Hopefully this song will serve as a reminder to wake up when I let myself slip back into snooze mode.
