BLVCKBOW Share New Single ‘Second Nature’
BLVCKBOW, the new project of Hawaiian award-winning pop artists Jasmine Crowe and Brittani Pavia, kick off their new year with their brand new single Second Nature, a positive, chilled out, feel-good piece of music that find the pair exploring a different sound by bending the barriers of the confinements of a set genre.
I am absolutely in love with Jasmine's powerhouse vocals which instantly command the listener's attention to their storytelling. Second Nature goes into detail about feeling immediately, instinctually comfortable, and attracted to somebody, almost like it is second nature to be that way. This relatable message is wrapped around an uplifting island groove that instantly got me in a good mood and longing for the summer. The soothing elements of the track include lush keys and strings with Jasmine Crowe's smooth vocals paired with sunny melodious grooves from Brittni Paiva on ukulele and electric guitar with components of reggae and island inspiration. BLVCKBOW describe the inspiration behind Second Nature as
the freeing feeling of being with someone that changes how you feel about yourself, caught off guard when you’re around them in the most positive and comfortable way. ‘Second Nature’ was influenced by our island roots since we are both from Hawaii and we’re brought up and raised around that kind of music and sound. We’d honestly never written anything with an island reggae vibe before, so we really wanted to explore it genre-wise as it’s something that’s always been inside both of us.
