Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter Beck Pete is back with her brand new single Softie, a captivating self-love anthem.
I am a fan of her gorgeous, expressive vocals and how they are packed with so much confidence, instantly drawing my attention to her storytelling. The lead single to be taken from her upcoming project, Softie is inspired by the frustrating realisation that she had played a part in the torment of her past relationships. It shares a message to only lean into the type of love that truly honours you, taking us on an introspective journey through heartbreak, reflection and eventually self-love.
Apart from her gorgeous vocals and relatable storytelling, I am particularly fond of the groovy guitar riffs throughout the song which gives the song a rock/indie edge that I find quite captivating and that beautifully matches the confidence pouring from her vocal delivery.
