Now Ex Share New Single ‘Sad Kids In America’

Now Ex, the project of East London-based musician and acclaimed film director Nick Hampson, has just shared his powerful new single Sad Kids In America, the title track of his 6-track EP which is out now.

 

Produced by superstar production duo, MyRiot (London Grammar, Halsey), Sad Kids In America is a cry for help and a questioning of our place in a world that so often seems to forget about us. The song draws inspiration from Nick's own life growing up in various corners of the States and is a portrait of contemporary American youth, and an anthem we can own that embodies our fears, hopes, heartbreak and ambition, but also the violence and romance at the heart of our society. 

 

This powerful message is beautifully conveyed through Nick's gorgeous and expressive vocals which glide beautifully over a captivating indie-electronic production packed with cinematic strings nicely intertwined with expansive synths, soaring guitars and punchy drums that create an overall warm and contemplative atmosphere.
