Morgan Houston Shares New Single ‘Distorted’

Sydney-based singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Morgan Houston has just shared her brand new single Distorted, a captivating blend of pop, folk and singer/songwriter sensibilities.

I am really enjoying how smoothly her vocals flow over the polished production, effortlessly infusing the song with a dreamy and emotional touch. Distorted is a song that explores and analises the distorted perception that love can bring. This message is beautifully conveyed through layers of her lush, soulful vocals and emotional melodies that instantly make the song quite a memorable listening experience. Apart from her dreamy harmonies I am very fond of the cool guitar plucks, pulsating soundscape, airy synths and overall warm atmosphere. Check it out below!

Discussing the track further, Morgan Houston reveals,
Distorted has a special place in my heart as it recounts the purposelessness I felt after losing someone that I put on a pedestal for years. For me, it encapsulates an indulgent denial or stubborn refusal to admit that love can drastically distort your perception of another person. The anthemic repetition of 'Whatever it is, I don't want it without you' represents this horrible, painful time in my life where nothing seemed exciting or valuable if it didn't involve this other person.
