GIVVEN Shares New Single ‘Taking On Water’

International downtempo pop trio GIVVEN, comprised of Klangkarussell's one-half, Adrian Held, Jordan Haller, and Nikodem Milewski, have just shared his brand new single Taking On Water, a melancholy-infused piece of pop music out now via Bias Beach Records. 
 
The first single to be taken from GIVVEN's upcoming Losing Colours EP, Taking On Water is a gorgeous blend of pop, folk and electronic elements that tells the story of a relationship that is falling apart. This message is beautifully enhanced by the emotional vocal delivery which is backed by a captivating piano progression before being paired with a growling bass line, eventually crashing into a desperate choral arrangement for the eponymous hook. Apart from GIVVEN's gorgeous, expressive vocals I am particularly fond of the piano chords and killer beat which create an overall warm and emotional atmosphere that I really like. The song oozes with heartache and melancholia and is accompanied by a gloomy blue-tinted video shot on the rocky coasts of Iceland under the watchful gaze of a mysterious, white, lighthouse.
