Color Fields Share New Single ‘Only Love’

American duo Color Fields, consisting of singer-songwriter and guitarist John Torres and Skeyboardist and co-songwriter Scott Packham, have just shared their brand new single Only Love, an infectious synthpop track out now via Antifragile Music.

I am really enjoying John's distinctive tone and how passionate his vocal delivery is, effortlessly connecting the listeners to their storytelling. Only Love is a song about reminiscing on past, failed relationships and finially having a new understanding of the power of love and how ot can help us get out of depression and anxiety. This positive message is wrapped around a memorable production that employs Color Fields signature blend of indie-tinged guitar pop with synth-driven electro that gives the song a cool 80s vibe that I really like. Have a listen to this gem below!

Speaking about the song, John Torres said,
Scott really ran with this song. All I really came to the table with was the pre-chorus melody and chord progression. The rest of the melody and harmony was a collaboration between us. And Scott really killed the production on this track. It’s really special. And I don’t just mean romantic love. I’m talking about self-love, love for your neighbor, society, for and from God. It is a freeing and empowering thing. I often feel stuck in my own head, and as a result, I suffer anxiety attacks and bouts of depression. This song deals with that and with what I’ve been finding to be the solution.
