Taught Abroad Shares New Single ‘Tropicalia’

Taught Abroad, the brain child of Chicago singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer Chris Sadek, has just shared his brand new single Tropicalia, the first single to be taken from his new EP, Want Your Love, out now.

Not only he sings but also plays cello, trumpet, flugel horn, piano, organ, synthesizer, guitar, bass and drums. The one-man recording project mixes elements of pop vocals, chill wave and down-tempo production sophisticated lyrical content to create a new blend of sounds. I am really enjoying his falsetto and how passionate his vocal delivery is, beautifully enhancing the emotion of his storytelling. I am particularly fond of the bright, shimmering synths and how they are nicely paired with warm, groovy rhythms, subtle horns and steady percussion that create an overall laid-back atmosphere. I'm loving those drums which give the song a summery touch and the whole atmosphere of the track is super warm with tons of emotion that keeps me coming back to it over and over again.
