Sofia Karlberg Shares New Single ‘Hate My Guts’
Following last month's upbeat electro-pop song Do It Again, Swedish singer and songwriter Sofia Karlberg is back with a lovely ballad titled Hate My Guts.
Taken from Sofia's upcoming sophomore EP, Hate My Guts finds the talented singer/songwriter beautifully showcasing her smooth, emotive vocals which glide effortlessly atop a glossy pop production. This is a song about fear of commitment and struggling to open one's heart and let others in. This relatable message is wrapped around infectious melodies packed with intricate guitar riffs nicely intertwined with steady percussion, lush strings and delicate piano chords that create an overall warm and intimate atmosphere. Speaking about the song, Sofia Karlberg said,
Fear of commitment and having trouble letting people in is something I’ve had problems with for as long as I can remember. I wrote the song together with two of my closest friends not only as an apology to those who I shut out but also as a reason to open up and let myself in, which makes the song really special to me.
