Swiss singer and songwriter Ridi has just shared her brand new single What You're All About, an attitude-packed piece of pop music.
I am really enjoying Ridi's passionate and confident vocal delivery which effortlessly draws the listener's attention to her storytelling. What You're All About is a song about realising you shouldn't give in to society's pressure and expectations of what is believed to be perfect and happy. You don't have to have a perfect body of be in a relationship to be happy and you should be able to discover for yourself what makes you happy, and not let others decide that for you. Speaking about the song, Ridi said,
Having music that talks about these emotions, I feel is really important, as most teens do feel this way. You don't need to have a perfect body or have a boyfriend/girlfriend to be happy, but everybody is made to believe that they don't 'fit it' if they don't have that. But I think we are at an age where we are just discovering what 'perfect' is to us, and a generic meaning of 'happiness' or 'perfection' should not be drilled into us.
