Peter Jessy Unveils New Single ‘Leonard’

New Brunswick born, Ottawa-based singer-songwriter Peter Jessy has just shared his brand new single Leonard, the latest single to be taken from his upcoming debut EP. 

 

The song sounds like a breakup song about a toxic ex-boyfriend, but it is actually about outgrowing your small hometown. I think most of us can connect to either situation (if not both) and I like how he brings this experience throught a bright piece of electro-pop music. I am very fond of his smooth, expressive vocals and how they glide beautifully over infectious melodies packed with bright synth nicely intertwined with catchy percussion and retro-tinged vibes that create an overall warm, feel-good atmosphere.
