Canadian singer and songwriter noelle has just shared her brand new single Hope You’re Happy, the final single ahead of the release of her upcoming album, coming early next year via Wax Records.
This catchy electro-pop track follows her gorgeous singles Therapy, Forever Yours and Seasons Change, continuing to showcase noelle's talents to deliver thought-provoking lyrics with infectious melodies. Written by noelle, Joel Stouffer, Geoff Warburton and Nathan Ferraro, Hope You’re Happy is a song about seeing your ex with someone new, You feel betrayed and heartbroken, hoping that the new partner also breaks their heart like they did yours. In the end the song is an empowering anthem for anyone who has walked away from a relationship that they knew just wasn’t right for them.
This message is wrapped around a warm electro-pop production with catchy 808s backing her luscious, confident vocals, and a memorable chorus that got me singing along to it in no time. Speaking about the song, noelle said,
’Hope You're Happy’ was a really unique song for me to write. I’m so passionate about creating sad ballads about love but I wanted this one to be more powerful for the listener. We’ve all been faced with the situation of seeing someone we loved with a new person and while we want to take the high road, sometimes vengeance is the real emotion that stirs within us.
