MYLA Shares New Single ‘Unrequited Love’
MYLA, the moniker of Canadian singer and songwriter Jennifer Budd, has just shared her brand new single Unrequited Love, a soul-infused piece of pop music out now via Nova Records.
I am loving MYLA'S soulful tone and how it is packed with so much emotion, beautifully drawing our attention to her relatable storytelling. Unrequited Love is a song about feeling led on by someone who sees you as "just a friend" but keeps on giving you false hope that maybe things can change. I have to say that I have a PhD in Unrequited Love and I can perfectly relate to what MYLA's singing as I have experienced the same and I believe many of us have. This message is wrapped around a soul/r&b-infused electro-pop production packed with steady percussion, warm synths and cool atmospherics that create an overall warm atmosphere that allows for MYLA'S gorgeous, powerful vocals to soar.
