Lerocque, the moniker of Portuguese-born, Swiss-raised/based singer and songwriter Pedro Rodrigues, has just shared his brand new single Blood, a high-energy piece of Melodic Techno & House/Future Bass music, out now via SWUTCH music. 

 

I am a fan of Lerocque's rich, deep vocals and how they effortlessly command the listener's attention to his powerful storytelling. Blood is a song about domestic abuse and how it is still a taboo subject, perfectly showing the precarious situation of those affected. This powerful message is wrapped around a captivating blend of Melodic Techno & House and Future Bass elements with some Trap touches that creates an overall high-energy atmosphere that matches the emotion pouring from his gorgeous vocals. I am particularly fond of the House piano chords and cool guitar riffs that beautifully contrast with the soaring synths and percussion. Accompanying the release, Lerocque shared a striking music video that perfectly embodies the song's message and atmosphere, giving the viewers a glimpse of the pain of domestic abuse victims.
