London based DJ, producer and label boss Leena Punks has just shared her brand new single Something, an upbeat piece of EDM, out now via New State Music.
For this song Leena Punks teamed up with fellow London-based singer and songwriter Émilie Rachel, whose lovely vocals beautifully infuse the song with a memorable dose of emotion. Apart from Émilie's expressive vocals, I am very fond of the polished electronic production that brings Progressive House and EDM elements together, creating an overall high-energy piece of music perfect to sing along to while dancing to it. Speaking about the inspiration behind creating ‘Something’, Leena Punks shares,
I was listening to a lot of CamelPhat, Eric Prydz and Cristoph at the time and I wanted to create an emotional progressive house track with melodic elements. Working with Em was a blast! She's amazing with toplines and superquick with lyrics.
