Vi. & ZOEY Share New Single ‘Dancing As You Go’
Swedish producers Vi., consisting of Per Berglin and Adrian Bellan, have teamed up once again with singer/songwriter ZOEY to deliver an upbeat piece of electro-pop/EDM titled Dancing As You Go, out now via ART:ERY Music Group.
I am a fan of ZOEY's smooth, sultry vocals which effortlessly convey the emotion of their storytelling. Dancing As You Go is a song about being betrayed by the one you love and having to go through the healing process on your own. It shares a message to dance your pain away and is wrapped around a highly addictive production that instantly got me hooked to it. Apart from ZOEY's gorgeous vocals, I am very fond of the warm electronics nicely paired with danceable percussion and lush synths that create an overall feel-good atmosphere perfect for a fun night out. The concept of “Dancing As You Go” was created straight out of a conversation about being betrayed by your special someone, and having to go through the process of healing on your own. Reading the lyrics - you get to see somebody dealing with denial, shamelessly doing what it takes to get rid of all the memories hanging over them like a dark cloud. It’s a song written to catch the feeling of dancing your tears away, slowly but surely moving on and putting the hurt behind you.
