morgen Shares New Single ‘Sweet 16’

California native singer and songwriter morgen has just shared her brand new single Sweet 16, a catchy indie-pop song out now via Avoca Drive.

 

Sweet 16 finds the 17-year-old singer delivering a confident piece of music about how someone has a glamorous vision of the world but suddenly realises that things aren't as you were promised they'd be. This is a common topic while growing up as we get eager to reach a certain age or goal as it seems magical and glamorous but once we get there, we realise it wasn't all that big of a deal. morgen's storytelling is beautifully conveyed through her gorgeous vocals which are packed with so much confidence and soar effortlessly over the bedroom-pop infused pop production. I am really fond of the lush guitar strings and how they are nicely paired with haunting synths and atmospherics and a steady beat that creates an overall warm, laid-back atmosphere.
