Los Angeles-based, New Zealand native singer and songwriter Eden Iris has just unveiled her brand new single Time She Is Dancing By, the first new single following up her debut album, The Fuchsia & the Grey, out now via Western Front Music!
Produced by Evan Klar, and mixed by Tchad Blake, Time She Is Dancing By is a bittersweet song about time passing too quickly, beautifully showcasing Eden Iris's breathy vocals which are packed with raw emotion, effortlessly connecting the listener to her storytelling. The whole production is quite warm with lush guitar strums, subtle beat and delicate piano keys that create an intimate and soothing atmosphere perfect for those introspective days home alone with one's thoughts. Speaking about the song, Eden Iris said,
I wrote “Time She Is Dancing By” with Evan Klar on WhatsApp video last Winter. In LA, we were still in lockdown, and the days began to bleed together in that awful way they do when one feels no sense of purpose. At times I felt like we were all slowly disappearing, on our own islands, and time was the thread that was barely holding everything together. When “Time She is Dancing By” was written, I thought it was about waiting, anxiously, for the next season to come. But now I see it in a more positive light - making the most of the time we have here.
