CELIIN Shares New Single ‘Manchester’
Norwegian Alt-Pop singer and songwriter CELIIN has just shared her brand new single Manchester, a cinematic pop/rock track about questioning one's behaviour.
I am a fan of CELIIN's gorgeous, expressive vocals and how they glide effortlessly over the polished production. Manchester is a song about one's inner conflict of trying to separate what's good and bad for them and is wrapped around a cinematic production that won me over from the start. Apart from her dreamy vocals and harmonies, I am particularly fond of the song's hard-hitting orchestral and theatrical pop/rock feel which is packed with killer drums and lush guitar strums. There's somewhat of a warm and mysterious atmosphere in the song that I really like and I think you will too. Check it out below!
Speaking about the song, CELIIN said,
Manchester is a song about questioning one’s behaviour, delving into the internal conflict of failing to separate what does you good from what hurts you - all wrapped in a rather.. racy metaphor. It tells the story of someone who flirts with this duality, struggling to find where their boundaries should be. After all it’s in the mirage created by these ballerina-like movements where you stop existing and start to live… right?
