Artikal Sound System Share ‘You’re an Asshole’ Music Video
South Florida-based reggae-rock infused band Artikal Sound System have just shared the official music video for their catchy single You're an Asshole, out now on Controlled Substance Sound Labs.
You’re an Asshole is a song for anyone who has felt the sting of a breakup, conveying the series of feelings, from anger to eventual acceptance of the end of a relationship. This song beautifully showcases Logan Rex's captivating vocals which flow beautifully over the warm, ska-infused melodies that create an overall feel-good atmosphere perfect for a relaxing weekend.

Logan Rex reflects on the new song,
The day I started writing this song I had met up for coffee with this guy I had dated for nearly ten years. I was sort of reflecting on everything he and I had been through together and was getting pretty fired up about it. The hook and main melody just started coming out while I was singing in the shower. I got over to Chris Montague’s house as soon as I could to finish it up and the boy’s parts seemed to write themselves after that. This one felt pretty effortless because it felt like I was just jotting down feelings in my diary. As far as naming the song, I think most people who’ve met my ex would feel like it’s a pretty fitting title.
Artikal Sound System first came together in 2012 under the direction of Chris Montague (guitar) and Fabian Acuña (bass) backing popular reggae artists. However it wasn’t until the additions of keys player Christopher Cope, drummer Adam Kampf, and the Jazz influenced vocalist Logan Rex that the band was fully realized.
