Marcus Shares New Single ‘April’
Following on from the huge support for his previously released singles Redemption, The Juice, and Let Them Know, fast-rising Irish artist Marcus has just shared his brand new single April, the latest single to be taken from his highly-anticipated EP, Not Real, out now via Fat Mouth Records.
I am a fan of his distinctive, smooth vocals and how they beautifully connect the listener to his storytelling. April is a sweet piece of indie-pop music packed with lush guitar riffs, catchy beat and bright, hazy synths that create a rich and atmospheric texture that I find quite captivating. This is a cool song for a laid-back, introspective day home alone. Check it out below!
Speaking about his new EP, Marcus said,
This EP has been a long time in the making. It includes some songs that I wrote years ago and some that I wrote over the last couple of months. When I listen to it I can hear my story and it means a lot to me. The last year presented a lot of challenges, there were long periods when I couldn't get into a studio because of lockdowns. Because of this parts of the EP were recorded in my bedroom and parts in really good studios, it's a funny mix. It has always been an ambition of mine to release a project and I'm really proud to finally put one out there. I'm so grateful to everybody who helped make this a reality.
