Minute Taker & Bright Light Bright Light Share New Single ‘After The Rain’

British artist Minute Taker (Ben McGarvey) has teamed up with fellow British singer and songwriter Bright Light Bright Light (Rod Thomas) to delivery an upbeat electro-pop track called After The Rain

Out now via Octagonal Records, After The Rain is a danceable song about the ups and downs of a relationship, but can also be perceived as being about the struggles of the LGBTQ+ community. This message is wrapped around a warm, tropical-tinged electro-pop production packed with tons of rhythms that instantly got me in a good mood and wanting to dance. I am very fond of the smooth, expressive vocals and how they easily convey the emotion of their storytelling. I am also very fond of the emotive piano chords and how they stand out amongst the upbeat grooves and rhythms of this sun-soaked pop gem. Quite a cool song for a fun weekend with friends! Check it out below!

Speaking about the dual meaning of the song, Minute Taker said,

On the one hand, it’s about the ups and downs of a really tempestuous relationship: the kind that can be like ecstasy and pure magic at times and at other times, tearing each other apart. On a different level, it’s about the journey of the LGBTQ+ community over recent history, ‘fearless cosmic angels, burning bright’ in the face of prejudice, weathering whatever adversity comes our way.
