Izabel Shares New Single ‘nothingbadwillhappen’

Canadian singer and songwriter Izabel has just shared her brand new single nothingbadwillhappen, a cool electro-pop song about being in that early stage of adulthood where you’re finally starting to understand how “the world works”, but aren’t happy with the truth.

I am really enjoying Izabel's dulcet tone and how it instantly draws the listener's attention to her storytelling, flowing effortlessly over the infectious production. The second single to be taken from her upcoming debut album, nothingbadwillhappen is a relatable song about what's life as an adult and how we're all acting like everything is fine and how everyone's eyes are on each other because they would much rather say something about someone else's problems than confront their own. This message is wrapped around a captivating production packed with an infectious bass, smooth beat throughout, cool guitar riffs and catchy electronics that create an overall warm, laid-back atmosphere that makes the song perfect for those chill, introspective days. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Izabel said,

This song was written a couple years back during my incredibly ignorant teenage phase. I was at my worst mentally, and above all angry with the life I was given. I wanted to run away. The song is written in first person, being who I thought I would be if I followed through with this fantasy. Of course not every detail, but for the most part. It also covers the perspective of how I viewed life and society at the time (focused only on negativity, and romanticizing bad choices which clearly no one ever should).
