Eyreton Hall Share New Single ‘Winter’

New Zealand-based band Eyreton Hall, a husband and wife consisting of singer/songwriter Toni Randle and musician Andrew Keegan, have just shared their brand new single Winter, a beautiful and melancholic piece of music, out now via Bigpop Records. 

 

I am a sucker for moody, melancholic songs and Winter is definitely ticking all those boxes for me. I am loving Toni Randle's smooth vocals and how they are packed with tons of heart and emotion, effortlessly connecting the listener to their storytelling. 

 

Winter was created during a moment of deep introversion in the midst of, what Randle describes as, being overwhelmed by a complicated and rushed existence. The resulting fragility and intense self reflection is perfectly captured by the song - with the creative process providing Toni a cathartic escape during this difficult period. I am particularly fond of the emotive piano chords, smooth percussion and dreamy, atmospheric elements that create quite a memorable soundscape.
