James Vickery Shares New Single ‘Save You’

South London's fast-rising R&B singer and songwriter James Vickery has just shared his brand new single Save You, the latest single to be taken from his debut album, Songs That Made Me Feel, out now via TH3RD BRAIN.

As always, it's Vickery's sweet, seductive and soulful vocals that drew me to this song and I love the way they instantly make his music quite recognisable and memorable. Save You is a raw and heartfelt ode to an old friend, being one of the most intimate and heart wrenching cuts on his debut album. I am loving the raw emotion pouring from his sweeping vocal delivery and how it is nicely backed by a warm, emotive piano-based melody nicely paired with a smooth beat and lush strings that enhance the intimate atmosphere of his storytelling.

This is such an amazing Contemporary R&B song packed with tons of soul and emotion, perfect for a laid-back day at home. This gem is accompanied by a striking music video, directed by Cam Turnbull, which effortlessly embodies the song's atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, James Vickery said, People think it’s a love song. But it’s about a boy I knew when I was at school. I never thought I would release this song. It was almost an internal diary that felt too personal for the world to hear. Every artist writes a song in their life that is them at their best, this is that song for me.
